“Home of Companies” is the title of an artwork presented at the Intramurs Festival in Valencia (Spain) in 2015 and will serve as a starting point for this workshop that aims to interact and develop alongside the ASFA BBQ 2017 Festival. The idea is to make one or several "habitable" constructions in the buildings of the Athens School of Fine Arts, using disposable bags (plastic or paper) as the main material along with other objects that we can find on the streets or in the School itself.
During the preliminary meeting of the team, Monday 29th of May at 17:00 in ASFA, I will present different construction possibilities used in previous projects that we will be used as a starting point for the discussion with the participants. We will set up a strategy for the collection of the material and, starting from this, we will jointly decide the design and the location/s. We will also discuss the possible uses or ways of inhabiting the constructions, perhaps in collaboration with other projects of the festival, and their interaction with the environment, as well as we'll decide the documentation of the process.

Wild Torus Art Kult Initiation
Workshops and lectures allow us to expound upon our vision of creating uncommon, sacred environments, which confront technological displacement and physical alienation, to present a challenging spectacle that subverts and exceeds people's expectations of an "art experience". This concept has been in development throughout the existence of WT as a collaborative entity. With the attendees/participants, our objective is to probe the personal and cultural histories of contemporary society's collective past and present, and translate them into art forms. We aim to nurture live performance, specifically art that combines digital and physical means, which extends to relational aesthetics and happenings; sculptural props and installations; as well as sophisticated audiovisual effects. Because our work is hyper-sensory, it has the capacity to augment the sense of self-awareness of the participants with cerebral triggers and advance them in an alternate reality. This creates psychic singularity, activating a liminal space-time to engage participation in a specific, publicly-shared event. The workshop takes place over 3 days in the Theater of the School of Fine Arts (30, 31 May and 1st of June) and culminates with the participants developing their own performance physical idea-action and presenting it in the format of the collective Wild Torus performance. Participation is free, but registration is required via email at email@example.com
NON GRATA UTOPIC INTERVANTIONS
Around the name NON GRATA there have been different hushes and shushes for a long time. The main point of the group is ethical - it is the image of primitivism, impersonality and experimental creativity. The performances of the group take place according to the logic of avoiding codes. The presentations are physical texts, whose ways of orthography and reading are kept within limits of real actions by the group members. Aesthetic and provocative challenges are represented in places, where the Art World doesn't work. With more than 500 members during the last 15 years from all over the world, the main characteristics of NON GRATA are anonymity in group work, ignorance of the local art world and mass media. Performing in Asia, Europe, South and North America with street actions, chaotic space and context specific performances and long lasting ghetto marathons...and they are still going. The group will hold a workshop at the Athens School of Fine Art the 1st and the 2th of June around the theme of Utopia and they will present with the participants a performance the 3th of June. The workshop will be held in English. The participation fee is 15 euros per person. Registration is required. Please send us a message and a short CV in the firstname.lastname@example.org
